John Rivers cuts brisket at the 4 Rivers Smokehouse in Winter Park

Friday, February 25, 2011, 4 Rivers Smokehouse will light their smoker at the 10th annual Perrier-Jouët BubbleQ hosted by Bobby Flay. Central Florida Chef and Pit Master, John Rivers, was selected by the BubbleQ scout team to present his best in barbecue alongside the likes of celebrated chefs Todd English, Cat Cora, Michael Symon, Rick Bayless and Jose Garces as well as barbecue heavy weights Chris Lilly, Myron Mixon and Adam Perry Lang.
The event will be held at the Delano’s private beach with VIP tickets sold out and general admission tickets available for purchase at the hefty price point of $350 per person. Rivers will proudly represent the city of Orlando, smoking Texas-style barbecue favorites served with his celebrated 4 Rivers signature BBQ Sauce.

Rivers was chosen for his recipes, which have received much attention in 2010 with accolades including “Best Barbecue 2010” from Florida Travel + Life and our very own Orlando Sentinel Foodie Awards.
